December 2020: Instructional Support – MS Program Support

Instructional Support continues to operate, providing support to MS programs and SPS administrators via Zendesk and Zendesk Talks. Instructional Support is back on campus and also overseeing the Video Assistants and their faculty support. Should you have any questions in person, we are located in Lewisohn 214 from 8am – 7pm.

In preparation of Spring semester, key resources and training opportunities have been prepared beginning in early December to assist faculty with both technical and pedagogical considerations for HyFlex course delivery:

Trainings:
On-Campus HyFlex Practice Sessions with Video Assistant Schedule an on-campus practice session with a Video Assistant. This will give faculty an opportunity to gain familiarity with the modality you will be teaching in. These sessions will enable you to practice the setup and flow of your class with a Video Assistant on-site and in-person. Instructions on how to sign-up for these practice sessions and the required return to campus protocols can be found here.

Instructional Support also has offerings for On-Campus (Group) Hyflex Practice Sessions. These group training sessions are an introduction to the HyFlex learning modality equipment, including the in-class mobile video kit. These targeted 45-minute sessions are available to all faculty who are teaching HyFlex courses in the Spring 2021 semester. Reservations can be made via Calendly. Please note these are group trainings that take place in-person, on campus. 

Faculty must take a COVID-19 test, complete the “Return to Work” training, and complete the symptom self-check prior to attending either one of these sessions.
